Introducing our Chief Executive, Laurie Bell
NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE JOINS THE CHELTENHAM TRUST
The Cheltenham Trust, the charitable organisation that that runs the town’s most iconic venues, has a new Chief Executive.
Laurie Bell has started in her new role, leading Cheltenham’s cultural and leisure portfolio that includes The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, Cheltenham Town Hall and Pittville Pump Room and the Prince of Wales Stadium.
Laurie, who lives near Cirencester, has joined the Trust from a senior leadership role at Wiltshire Council. Working with a range of stakeholders her immediate focus is delivering a shared vision, strategy and business plan that reflects the trust’s integral role in Cheltenham’s future.
Laurie says: “I am really pleased to join The Cheltenham Trust, which is established in the town and has built strong foundations in its first five years. I look forward to working with the trustees to lead and support its future growth and continued success in the provision of leisure, culture and arts.
“I am confident that the trust will go from strength to strength. I am extremely impressed by the energy and commitment of staff, trustees and volunteers and the positive focus on delivering outcomes and maximising the opportunities to add value for the residents, businesses and visitors to Cheltenham.”

Her knowledge and skills are exactly what we have been looking for to support the next phase of the trust’s development and to continue to build on our positive partnership with Cheltenham Borough Council. Working together we are developing plans to improve and expand the trust’s venues and our offer to customers.”
