Cheltenham’s first Wellbeing Festival aims to get people up off their sofas with a week of exciting activities from fitness classes to interactive workshops, talks and events and The Cheltenham Trust is thrilled to be taking part.

The festival is the first of its kind in Cheltenham offering a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. It starts on Monday (9 September) and runs until Sunday (15 September).

The Cheltenham Trust’s Leisure at Cheltenham is an active partner in the festival and is inviting people to come and try its range of fitness classes from yoga and spin to aqua aerobics.

Fitness coordinator Faiz Bankole said: “The festival is a great opportunity for people who don’t normally do much exercise to try out some classes. Our sessions are tailored for all ability levels so no-one needs to worry if they haven’t exercised for some time. Our instructors will work with you to make sure you go at your own pace. We’ve a fantastic range of activities to try so do come and sample a class or two.

“Supporting people to be active is at the heart of what we offer. We’re delighted to be an active partner in the wellbeing festival. Our aim is to encourage people who don’t usually exercise to try something new and to make a change to their lifestyle by doing some physical activity. We’re looking forward to welcoming you and helping you to get started for a healthier and happier life.”

Classes at Leisure at Cheltenham are available during the day time, including early morning sessions, as well as in the evenings, and are open to anyone aged 16 and over.

A festival Active Pass gives entry to any three classes and people can use it to mix and match any of the classes or combine them with the other events, workshops, talks and activities taking place across Cheltenham during the festival.
