#CheltenhamRemembers VE Day
As Britain marked the 75th anniversary of VE Day, when peace returned as World War II ended in Europe, homes across Cheltenham again decorated their windows and gardens with bunting and flags to mark the anniversary as #CheltenhamRemembers.
The message of ‘we’ll meet again’ kept Britain going during the war and 75 years later it is resonating again as we say #letsmeetagain.
People, groups and organisations across our community are already making bunting to support The Cheltenham Trust’s #letsmeetagain vision to adorn our iconic venues with home-made bunting for when we can re-open and welcome everyone back.
If you made bunting for the VE Day celebrations, could we ask if you might consider donating it to us so it can be displayed in Cheltenham as the town re-opens and we do meet again? Thank you.
